Conversation about the practice of artist Katherine Bull.
Katherine Bull employs printmaking, performance, education, participation and social media to create a collage of forms and installations. This conversations discussed her practice more generally but also focused on her recent exhibition ‘Lessons in Transformation’ at Michaelis Galleries. She has taught herself to work ambidextrously and creating artwork responding to moving image and live interaction.
‘Katherine Bull has been practicing as an artist for two decades. She put together an exhibition at the Michaelis Galleries which was part retrospective and part opportunity for reflection on her practice, with a series of open conversations set in the space. Bull’s work has often been performative, treading lines between digital and analogue media.’ Chad Rossouw
